Gerco den Hartog

My focus is on the production of local mucosal antibodies under homeostatic conditions and mucosal exposure to allergens or infectious agents. I’m interested in the production of IgA and the functionality of mucosal antibodies. Also, how vaccination could result in mucosal antibodies and the role of such antibodies during exposure to the respective pathogens.
